Oy. Of course this implied message is dangerous to public health on an individual basis. But worse, by reinforcing stereotypes and feeding prejudices, it’s also dangerous to society as a whole.

It looks to me like all the sex in the ad occurs in a hetero m/f situation. Maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t understand the basis for your criticism.
It captured my attention for significantly longer than the split-second I devote to most advertisements. I think it’s very effective. The repeated image of throwing up and lying in bed are a nice, simple way to convey the drawn-out stages of illness.
