This is a perfect example of advertising that gets, and keeps, your attention.

It invites you to take part in a game, one which you may want to invite others in to. It has memorable ties with ‘Where’s Wally?’ and it pushes the act of challenging friends in to a game to see who can find the most bottles. This all may sound a bit trivial but people read magazines when they’re bored - on trains, sitting at home, at work :P - and this is a really good way of getting you to become involved.

Another really intelligent effect it has is ‘mind imprinting’. When you constantly search for this image you are forming that shape in the front of your mind. Just as when you are looking for a blue sock say, you scan the room looking for something blue, and suddenly you notice how many blue things are around you. This works in the same way but you’re constantly looking for that shape. If you played this game for long enough like I did, you will notice that as you look at another image, you automatically search for that shape inside it.

Adverts like this are brilliant at sticking in your mind.
