Family Services of Greater Vancouver is a nonprofit organization that provides basic relief services to the community, such as social work, poverty aid, basic health services, job training and housing assistance, immigrant services, and rehab and other addiction treatments. They are a basic social services ‘catch-all’, however, a large part of what they provide is intervention and counselling for families dealing with domestic violence. So rather than trying to somehow speak to all of their services, we felt it would be more impactful to focus specifically on the domestic violence issue.
