New creative for the New Orleans Hornets basketball team, designed by local agency Trumpet, showcases the team’s return to New Orleans and invites fans to “Witness the Greatest Comeback in History.” A new branding scheme and OOH advertisements for the Hornets highlight the unique culture of the Big Easy while capturing the excitement and energy of competitive basketball.

The work features graphics inspired by New Orleans’ signature fleur de lis, offering a touch of local flavor New Orleanians can pick-up on and instantly identify with. The work also serves to connect the team with the community to build a strong, unified Post-Katrina city. Copy stating “The Bounce is Back in New Orleans.” and “Passion. Purpose. Pride.” play up team spirit and drive home the idea that the team’s hopeful success this coming season will be about more than just basketball.

The ads are currently up throughout the state of Louisiana.

Euro/MoMA Introduce the Napkin Notebook

Where were you the last time you had a great creative idea? Were you in your office, laptop ready to record every detail? Or were you out at a restaurant, coffee shop or bar, scrambling to capture your brilliance on shreds of caffeine- or booze-soaked cocktail napkins? For many creative people, entrepreneurs, artists and designers alike, the situation frequently tends to be the latter.

For this reason, global advertising agency Euro RSCG Worldwide has developed the Napkin Notebook, a spiral-bound collection of cocktail napkins ready to be filled with notes, sketches… and the next great business idea. Available soon at the MoMA store, each Napkin Notebook comes with its own pen. Pics of the notebook, taken by photographer Dan Lipow.

At www.napkinnotebook.com, you can sketch or write on the notebook, and email your creation or idea to a friend.
