Great piece of advertising, and great use of words

I never thought I’d say that but stop with the Bush-bashing already. There would still have been Gengis Khan, Stalin, Lenin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Mao and myriad of other very unpleasant persons.

I love it, it’s simply very effective.

this is effective? what does it possible effect? more fruitless finger pointing? this is nothing more than a stellar piece of bandwagonesque media buy-in propaganda. no wars? really? if we didn’t cut down trees we’d have no wars? that’s incredible. wouldn’t we, perhaps, still war over building supplies? there are only so many caves, y’know? the harvest of wood has sustained humanity since the very beginning. sure, there are those that abuse it, just as there are those that abuse the power of media – it’s human nature to be selfish. that didn’t start with America.

bravo. how intellectual. they’ve covered all the “it” things to rail against. i wonder where India would be without the resource of wood – or those of America? hmmmm.. wait a minute – where is India now? oh yeah, i almost forgot, they’re waist deep in every facet of America’s evil business, medicine and industry. woops.

Yes, if we never cut trees, there would be no war. How silly of me not to notice that before.

Three things I can guarantee you from these ads:

1. The creatives involved have never before, nor never will, plant a tree.

2. No one reading these ads will ever feel the need to plant a tree.

3. However, they will spend thousand upon thousand of dollars to enter these ads into award shows instead of, you know, donating that money to the WWF to plant a tree.

Incompetence in the service of good is evil.

Will only appeal to environmentalists. Everyone else could care less about these ads.
