Marcelo wrote in portuguese, but that’s not the point.

He was complaining that the link posted on the first comment wasn’t relevant. In my opinion, it is. That could have been a source of inspiration, an example on how to bring into advertising non-advertising ideas. I don’t think Joao Marcelo was implying it was a rip-off because it obviously isn’t.

About this video here, I think it’s very well executed and works as a viral to a certain extent. Heck, someone sent me this link. But I don’t really like the idea.

Marcelo and Felipe,

The idea is old. In 2007, Maurício Ricado created this cartoon. In 2008, two agencies has adapted the cartoon to a child lock a commercial.

And now, that agencie made the third version of the commercial, again to advertise child lock. It’s a copy from a copy.

Marcelo, before say you are the big shark of advertising, learn a little more about it. You’re not so good as you thing.

Hey I just going to drop my thoughs about this issue here, well I understood that the ad as its own point of sale and the idea may not be original but has been adapted for the ocasion… its good know the background of certain things so that we not going out there and claim what we are not… in other hand knowledge is powerful and to be good in whatever you do you need a broad understanding of things… even languages, by the way, that was PORTUGUESE and not SPANISH… sorry but just be polite we each other is a good starting point… this is not a place for “beefs” but for creative thinkers and knowledgeble people… I am a Designer and I learnt how to solve problems… please just sticky with creative stuff, not beefs.

Sorry and thank you
