Pretty ingenious
This is very funny advertising, but I’m not sure that it will endear buyers to the brand (not that Huggies needs to do much about that). Buyers tend to enjoy a fantasy in advertising, not a reality, at least somewhat. I think, if I were a parent, I’d prefer the illusion that the cleanup of a crappy diaper would be easier with Huggies, rather than just like all the other brands that can be anywhere at any time. “Being there” doesn’t necessarily indicate superiority.

I don’t particularly like these, but I think it’s strategically a good move for Huggies, at least in the fact that most diaper commercials are the same– cute babies with some mom-type narrator promising that brand X provides better leak protection than anyone, etc. Here Huggies is using humor to connect with diaper-buyers, which is pretty unique in this category.
