Wrangler: Stunt

Wrangler presents ‘Stunt’, the most action-packed, adrenaline-fuelled campaign yet in its exhilarating We Are Animals series.

‘Stunt’ features real life Hollywood stunt people performing truly fearsome stunts. The danger, the explosions and the sheer daredevilry are captured in stunning images by the outstanding US-based photographer Cass Bird, and crew.

Shot on the ‘New York’ streets of the legendary Paramount Studios in Los Angeles (a set used by Indiana Jones, Spiderman and The Godfather), the ‘Stunt’ campaign pushes Wrangler’s thrill-loving brand persona to the max, and tests the limits of what is possible in advertising.

The extraordinary images will launch across style magazines and European billboards in March 2011

Advertising Agency: Fred & Farid, Paris, france
Creative Director: Frederic Raillard

is it really?

When I think about wranglers I think about burning and jumping out of windows? No.

Besides in a portion of the 30+ images it looks like the wrangler animal person may be dead. Who wouldn’t want to associate their clothing with death?! Gimme a break

OK…. pretty much the same again again and again. Fire, broken window, fire, broken window, broken window again, hum, let’s try fire again.
Nice visual, but the idea…. its cool 1 time each but not 458239534789 times.

If you scroll down the images quickly it looks like a really shit hollywood film. About the same amount of dialogue and plot too.

Brave work. Well at least for the models.

Diesel’s BE STUPID campaign is waaaaay better. There’s no BIG IDEA here. It’s stupid.

In light of recent events: really, really unfortunate timing.

Horrible campaign. It doesn’t make me want to buy wranglers, but light them on fire. Also, white people in the city don’t wear wranglers. They are more suited for the country folk.

Terrible. Contrived. Gut wrenching. I especially hate the one of the woman falling from the building. It reminds me of the suicide jumpers on 911 who had to chose between burning to death or falling to their death.
