MINI: Recycling Poster

A MINI has only the things it really needs. That means getting rid of the superfluous and keeping an eye on the essentials. MINI calls this MINIMALISM. First the billboard was dismantled. The metal plate with its many layers of paper was then taken away to be sand-blasted. There the old board was partly covered with a stencil from the British sporty lifestyle brand which included the «BE MINI» lettering. Then the uncoated metal layer of the board was exposed. But only in certain places, of course. But the poster was still not completely reduced down to the bare essentials. To do this, a creative touch was now called for to carefully strip away up to eight layers of posters underneath until there really was nothing left to remove. Then the poster was returned to its rightful place, now as a genuine, unique work of art. But because MINI is serious about MINIMALISM, the British carmaker demonstrated its art of omission not just on one unique poster but on over 20 displayed all over Switzerland. Because keeping an eye on the essentials is important everywhere.

Profi-Ernst: Blurred House

Profi Ernst ambient stunt “Blurred House” – in Germany the debates about StreetView were and still are fierce. Many people had their houses blurred – in a fight for privacy and against invasion by a global giant. Profi Ernst, a local DIY store, used this topic cleverly for a stunt. A real house was blurred – by fixing a giant true size blurred image of the facade on the facade. The cheeky message: Don’t be ashamed of your house – come to Profi Ernst. The case video gives more details.

Earth Hour 2011: Web Cycle

The Challenge: ‏Every year millions around the world commemorate Earth Hour by turning off all the lights for one hour. ‏Tel Aviv- Jaffa municipality initiates and produces Earth Hour in Israel. ‏As part of Earth Hour 2011, we were asked to raise awareness to the importance of Earth Hour to our planet.

‏The Solution: ‏Arc Interactive (one of Publicis Israel’s digital arms) along with Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality connected the real world online. ‏Together we developed a special technology and launched the world’s first website that works by pedaling a bike in real time. ‏While riders pedal, the site was on the air, but in a moment of pause, the site went dark. ‏The activity was broadcasted on Earth Hour’s website and on Ynet, Israel’s leading website.

‏The Results: ‏Earth Hour became the most viewed website in Israel that day! ‏Every 3 minutes a new environmental tip was added on to Earth Hour’s website.
