For two days, drivers who passed a smoking billboard in Sioux Falls, honked and cranked their necks to get a better look at the board everyone was talking about. The billboard, promoting the website WhyImAlive.com, for Avera Health was meant to draw attention for the importance of having an emergency medical plan for your family. It showed a woman sitting on a gurney in front of a terrible car crash, with one of the cars actually smoking behind her, that at least for two days, the smoke billowed off the photo into the sky, thanks to a hidden smoke machine behind the board.
It worked, driving thousands of people to go online in the first week of the campaign. It also drew an unintended consequence. It got the attention of the fire department, who, after two days of smoke, decided to shut it down.

This summer, Dulux invited mural painter MWM ( http://mwmgraphics.com ) to create a series of live painting performances on walls in Marseille, Lyon and Paris, under people’s eyes. Directors Le Groupuscule captured the evolution of each mural, gathering over 700,000 pictures, that were edited to an unreleased track by Monsieur Monsieur: “Walls Are Dancing”, to create this video. This collaboration of 3 artistic disciplines to make walls dance is part of the Let’s Colour Project. (http://www.letscolourproject.com).

Though the idea of using protection during sex is generally apprehended, people tend to think unprotected oral sex is ok, and rarely use condoms when it comes to going down on someone. The challenge was to generate an awareness emphasizing the fact that STIs are also transmitted during oral sex. Especially syphilis!

To help invitees understand what it’s like to live in fear of domestic violence, we provoked another fear in them with which they were familiar. Invitees came home to find a key in their front door. This instantly made them afraid that someone they didn’t know had access to their home. Attendance at the launch rose by 60% on previous years, and the invitation gained national media coverage.
