For their customer Mercedes-Benz Vans, Lukas Lindemann Rosinski implemented an interactive outdoor event on Wall AG’s digital advertising displays in Berlin underground station Friedrichstrasse, which blurred the line between classical outdoor advertising and interactive entertainment. Under the slogan “Key to Viano”, passers-by were offered the unprecedented opportunity to control digital advertising displays using their own remote car keys.

Where do billboards go when they die? Well, in this case, they went into the hands and onto the shoulders of everyday people. On September 25th 2010, the Cruze launched with one of the biggest media buys in Chevrolet Canada’s history. From billboards and transit shelters, to bus wraps and station dominations, the urban landscape was wallpapered with Cruze ads. But rather than just taking the materials down and shipping them to landfills, we wanted them to live on in a meaningful way. So we collected all the outdoor vinyl, combined it with recycled seatbelts and bicycle inner tubes, then created messenger bags, laptop sleeves, plus oversize totes. The result? Hundreds of highly functional bags made from 100% locally sourced, upcycled materials. But this is just the beginning. Stay tuned for what’s next on facebook.com/chevroletcanada Turning ads into bags is just one more way Chevrolet is Driving Our World Forward, one billboard at a time.

To show the people the dimension of this job, Raf Comunicacao organised gigantic signs imitating sewer pipes were strategically placed in areas of high traffic of people. From afar the format of the signs would attract people, who would get close for a better look and get to know the work that the Parnamirim city hall was doing.

Since December 14th ABSOLUT Vodka has taken over one of Avenue de l’Opéra’s bus shelters in Paris, giving Parisians the chance to appreciate a poster of extreme purity. This unique poster, created from just one sheet of blank paper by artist Simon Schubert, embodies purity to the extreme. Portraying the limited edition multi-sided bottle released at the end of the year, this creation was made without ink or chlorine, on 100 % cellulose paper, and formed only from folds revealed by a play on light and shadows.

Aspirin ads were wrapped on the backs of buses all around the city of Toronto. The ads used brake lights to exaggerate the pain caused by headaches. When the buses braked, the lights lit up to highlight the throbbing pain. As Toronto is one of the worst cities for traffic, the message especially hit home for commuters stuck behind these buses.

To communicate the message, we made posters out of these materials: In hospital we took blood samples of our copywriter for the first billboard. The blood was pumped through little tubes on the poster that gave the type. For the second one we rented a mobile sauna, in which our designers collected their sweat. The sweat was then sprayed on a poster out of black fabric. The salt made the type. With 3 kilograms of raw onions we produced enough tears for the third billboard. We fixed the tears with tissues on the billboard.

We created a 13 x 8.2 foot structure with 1000 acrylic cells and an automated robotic mechanism, that would be filled with 6 different shades of wine, people could choose a cell and sent a text message, and the robot filled each box with wine. At the end people could recreate the Van Gogh’s self portrait and build a masterpiece with our masterpiece Navarro Correas wine.
