G2: Holiday Card

haikus

URL: http://www.haikusforhumbugs.com

You know all those Debbie Downer-types on Twitter? The ones who complain about everything? Well now, thanks to G2, you can write them a haiku and tell them things will be all good. Haikus For Humbugs searches out humbuggy Tweets and lets you anonymously respond to them directly with a haiku (even if you’re not on Twitter). You can also post your 5-7-5 syllable masterpieces on the site or share via social media. In the spirit of anonymity, G2 also has decided to forego any branding on the site. Happy Holidays!!

Tribal DDB San Francisco: SiriClaus

URL: http://siriclaus.com

SiriClaus is a web based iPhone app that helps parents answer all those tough questions kids have about Santa Claus. Users choose what type of answer they would like SiriClaus to respond with from four popular Santa questions. Mimicking the Siri experience, SiriClaus then gives the user a hilarious response to the question they chose. Some fun examples are below:

Q: Is Santa Claus real?
A: Yes, but Santa Claus only comes when you pick up your toys. He doesn’t like tripping over your toys.
Q: When is Santa coming?
A: Santa isn’t coming because your messy room scared him away.
Q: Is Santa bringing me what I wished for?
A: No. Santa Claus’s records show that you have enough toys.
Q: Have I been naughty or nice?
A: Naughty. But maybe if you give your mom a foot rub Santa will change his mind.

Stockholm County Aids Prevention Programme: The Sex Profile

the_sex_profile_presentation_board

BRIEF: Even though young Swedes know that condoms generally are a good idea, they aren’t very good at using them. Our target audience (Stockholmers, aged 20-30) has become more careless, and consequently HIV and other diseases are spreading in numbers. The problem, studies suggest, lies in attitude. Condoms are often seen as an embarrassing break, an inconvenience. Our brief from LAFA (Stockholm County Aids Prevention Programme) was to turn the target audience on to safe sex, making the condom part of the fun.

SOLUTION: We created “The Sex Profile” – a smartphone app that provided a personal sex graph based on rhythm, sound level and duration while having sex. Integrated with the app, the sex graphs were directly uploaded to the campaign site. With the question “How are you getting laid this summer?”, we invited the target group to get involved in the campaign. By handing out more than 50.000 free condoms we made it easier for the audience to talk about safe sex as well as practicing it. Every condom was marked with a QR code that made it possible to download and use the app directly. Based on statistics from the latest sex graphs we made numerous banners and outdoor posters with topical news, starting discussions in the target audience.

RESULTS: At the end of summer over 5.900 sex profiles were registered – which beat our goal with 590%. As many as 39% of young Stockholmers said they had become more positive to condom use than before. This exceeded our goal for the campaign with 98%.

ROM: Romanians Are Smart

URL: http://www.romaniansaresmart.com

If you search the internet with the phrase “Romanians are”, the suggestions automatically generated by Google are extremely negative for Romanians: “Romanians are rude”, “Romanians are thieves” etc. We decided to change this until December 1st, when it’s actually Romania’s national Day. This can be changed if we have as many people as possible – from Romania and abroad – searching the internet for “ Romanians are smart” or “Romanians are beautiful” or other such positive phrases.
